Our Holiday Farm is included in the S.T.I.N.A., Monte Peglia and Selva di Meana Territorial System of Naturalistic and Environmental Interest, a protected natural area with an important heritage of flora and fauna.
Located at 4 kilometers from the house, there is Scarzuola, the ideal and surreal city created by the architect Buzzi (1900-1981). Scarzuola is a path between sacred and profane, next to a convent founded in 1280 in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, that in 1218 built his home in this magical place.
The most important tourist destinations near our accommodation are the artistic cities of Orvieto (30 km) and Città della Pieve (20 km). Panicale is 24 km away and it is one of “The most beautiful villages in Italy”.
At 10 km away from the Agritourism there is a series of castles well-preserved and typical medieval Umbrian villages: Parrano, Carnaiola, Castel di Fiori, Monteleone d’Orvieto, Ficulle, Fabro Paese, Montegiove, Greppolischieto, Montegabbione are picturesque villages and interesting places to visit.
The Lake Trasimeno (Sant’Arcangelo di Magione) is 30 km from Cappannare.

You can walk from the garden to the country paths, next to the meadows and woods. For a delightful summer day, you can walk along the road to Castel di Fiori (3 km from the house) and find “I Fossi” (ditches), a natural swimming pool accessible only on foot and with comfortable shoes. Along this route there is also the Necropolis of Poggio della Croce.
From the train station Fabro-Ficulle (located in Fabro Scalo, 9 km from home), every 2 hours there are trains to Rome and Florence, that take you in less than 2 hours at the centre of the 2 most important town of Italy, at a cost of 9-13 euro.
From Cappannare, in less than an hour away by car, you can visit some cities in Tuscany: Chianciano Terme, San Casciano dei Bagni, Cetona, Cortona, Chiusi and Montepulciano.
